The secret of the figurehead of the Libertad Frigate

The young Galician sculptor, Carlos García González, was inspired by his wife to create what many of us admire about the admired Libertad Frigate, its figurehead. García González's love and inspiration passed away before the sculpture was placed on the prow of the Libertad. It represents the Argentine Republic and its gaze undoubtedly marks the course of the ship.
