The sea, the sailboats, the ports, life on board and the passion for sailing, all of this is Dream of Blue Water. The ocean is everything and living it is a desire that we deserve.
Dario D'Atri
I am Dario D´Atri, a sailor, journalist, and crew member of the White Shadow sailboat. We completed the round-the-world trip on April 23, 2024, competing in the Ocean Globe Race, the regatta that commemorated the 50th anniversary of the 1973 Whitbread Round the World Race. We set sail in August 2023 from Barcelona to Southampton as a preparation stage and to transport the boat to the starting line. On September 10, 2023, the Ocean Globe Race began in England. The first stage to Cape Town. Then we sailed to New Zealand and from there, we left Cape Horn on the port side heading north to Punta del Este. The final stage was a long sail back to the United Kingdom.
